The 34th Annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival returns to Loch Haven Park, May 13-26, 2025, and tonight, you can be among the first people to see what some of the local artist are doing this year. The 34th annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival returns this year to Loch Haven Park in Orlando, from May 13 - 26, 2025.  Orlando Fringe is a 14-day immersive cultural experience featuring over 1,000 ticketed performances spanning a wide array of genres, such as theatre, dance, spoken word, musicals, comedy and much more.  The festival unites local, national and international artists with the Central Florida community, creating a uniquely diverse arts experience.   As the excitement builds for this year's festival, you can see a preview of some of the shows at the local teaser shows tonight! Which shows are "can't-miss" at this year's Fringe? Well, you can find out at The Local Teaser Show tonight, Monday, April 14. Performers will be performing a 2-minute teaser of their show! If performers go over the time limit, they'll be chased off the stage! Follow along in the program to keep notes on which shows you want to catch at the festival. Two shows! The evening starts with the General Audience Teaser Show hosted by LiLI and is followed by The Mature Audience Teaser Show hosted by Blake Aburn. Origami In The Garden February 1 - September 3 Leu Gardens invite you to experience an extraordinary exhibit like no other, connecting the world of nature and art. Origami is the Japanese word for  “folding paper,” making something out of nothing, taking a square piece of paper and folding it to create a beautiful object. ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN takes the folded object and transforms it into colossal metal sculpture that evokes wonder and imagination. Queen of the Highwaymen Exhibition April 5 - June 22 The City of Orlando proudly presents Mary Ann Carroll: Queen of the Highway, a retrospective exhibition celebrating the art and life of Mary Ann Carroll (b. 1940-d. 2019), the only female artist in Florida's renowned Highwaymen group of artists. The Highwaymen were a group of 26 African American artists working in Florida during the mid-20th century who created and sold vibrant landscape paintings, often door-to-door, overcoming racial and economic barriers to achieve recognition. EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival   March 5 - June 2 The popular and fragrant, EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival features fresh cuisine, colorful gardens, playful topiaries and vibrant entertainment. Plus, the popular Garden Rocks Concert Series featuring favorite tunes at the America Gardens Theatre. And of course, fresh flavors will be on the menu at Outdoor Kitchens and other food and beverage locations throughout the park. The Original Influencers: Mernet Larsen, Steve Lotz, and Bruce Marsh January 31 - May 25 This exhibition at the Mennello Museum examines the rich and vibrant legacy of Central Florida’s arts and higher education through contemplating the work of three foundational figures – artists who have had a profound impact on the Central Florida art scene and have inspired generations of students. Through their extraordinary practices and decades of teaching, Mernet Larsen, Steve Lotz, and Bruce Marsh depict natural worlds both organically and geometrically, which implore viewers to analyze how they view the world through lenses of abstraction, symbolism, and perception. Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival March 7 - May 18, Friday - Sundays A world of taste awaits at the annual Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Food & Wine Festival with a delicious menu and drinks as dynamic and unique as the park's thrilling roller coaster collection. See this exhibition at Orlando Museum of Art. Gorgeous April 10 - May 3 The Renaissance Theatre Company is serving up the outrageous, side-splitting musical Gorgeous, at The Ren in Orlando. This irreverent spectacle takes very loose inspiration from the cult classic Drop Dead Gorgeous. Brace yourself for the Miss Golden Boot Beauty Pageant in beautiful St. Crowd, FL, which is probably not inspired by a real place nearby. Eight contestants vie for the crown, where the competition is fierce, the dance  numbers are questionable, and the personalities are larger than life. Theatre for the Very Young: Dinosaur Dance Party April 12 - May 3, Every Saturday A 30-minute celebration of dinosaurs, music, and movement. Get ready to party, because everyone knows dinosaurs love to dance! Theatre for the Very Young at Orlando Family Stage is created specifically for 1 to 5-year-olds and is an interactive, multi-sensory, developmentally accessible experience encouraging caregiver interaction and creative play. Spring Bloom At Bok Tower Gardens February 1 - April 30 Spring Bloom is the most colorful time of the year as thousands of azaleas, camellias, and annuals signal a new season. The festival celebrates the majesty of Mother Nature from now through April 30. Visitors will experience four months of blooms with a riot of camellias and finishing with a grand finale of azaleas. Each day, enjoy live carillon concerts at 1 pm and 3 pm. Orange County Library Earth Day Events April 2 - 30 Earth Day takes place on April 22, but Orange County Library System is offering fun throughout the whole month! Kids and adults can celebrate our planet by learning about sustainability efforts as well as ways to engage others in the environmental movement. From Pinewood to Pillars: Orange County’s Historic Courthouses February 1 - April 27 From Pinewood to Pillars  traces the evolution of Orange County’s courthouses, from the rustic, log-hewn buildings of Orlando’s pioneer days to the towering, state-of-the-art structure ushering in the new millennium. This pocket exhibit features rarely seen artifacts from the collections of the Orange County Regional History Center, showcasing the halls of justice that shaped not only Orlando’s skyline but also its history. Stuart Little March 26 - April 27 Orlando Shakes presents Stuart Little. The endearing classic about a mouse named Stuart born into an ordinary New York family comes alive onstage. Stuart is a little guy with a big heart, not to mention whiskers, a little pink nose and a really dapper wardrobe. When he’s adopted by the Littles, he embarks on adventures with a variety of characters — including his nemesis, family cat Snowbell, and along the way learns the true meaning of family, loyalty and friendship. Queen of the Highwaymen Exhibition April 5 - June 22 The City of Orlando proudly presents Mary Ann Carroll: Queen of the Highway, a retrospective exhibition celebrating the art and life of Mary Ann Carroll (b. 1940-d. 2019), the only female artist in Florida's renowned Highwaymen group of artists. The Highwaymen were a group of 26 African American artists working in Florida during the mid-20th century who created and sold vibrant landscape paintings, often door-to-door, overcoming racial and economic barriers to achieve recognition. The Original Influencers: Mernet Larsen, Steve Lotz, and Bruce Marsh January 31 - May 25 This exhibition at the Mennello Museum examines the rich and vibrant legacy of Central Florida’s arts and higher education through contemplating the work of three foundational figures – artists who have had a profound impact on the Central Florida art scene and have inspired generations of students. Through their extraordinary practices and decades of teaching, Mernet Larsen, Steve Lotz, and Bruce Marsh depict natural worlds both organically and geometrically, which implore viewers to analyze how they view the world through lenses of abstraction, symbolism, and perception. Relationships: A Love For Collecting January 25 - May 15 Dr. James Cottrell, an esteemed anesthesiologist and professor, and Joseph Lovett, an award-winning documentary filmmaker, have been collecting art for over forty years. Today, their collection numbers more than 500 works encompassing a wide array of paintings, prints, photography, and sculpture that comprise a broad of spectrum of styles, including abstraction, representation and conceptual art. Vacation ownership brand, Travel + Leisure Co. has revealed proposals to build 151 condo-style suites in Kissimmee. Orlando's Travel + Leisure Co. has announced plans to expand it's popular Margaritaville Vacation Club brand, unveiling plans for a proposed new timeshare resort near Walt Disney World in Kissimmee. The new resort will be adjacent to Margaritaville Resort Orlando at the Sunset Walk entertainment district will feature 151 condo-style suites. and is expected to welcome its first guests in 2027. “We're excited to stake a Margaritaville Vacation Club umbrella in the proverbial sand here in Central Florida. This proposed development highlights the unique power and appeal of the Margaritaville brand within our larger multi-brand strategy at Travel + Leisure Co.,” said Jeff Myers, chief sales and marketing officer and head of the Margaritaville Vacation Club division at Travel + Leisure Co. “With this new destination, we will offer Margaritaville Vacation Club owners even more opportunities to embrace the laid-back vacation lifestyle they love.” The future resort is expected to offer owners and guests a selection of studio, one-, two, and three-bedroom layouts perfect for any size crew visiting Central Florida’s tourist hotspot. Travelers will be able to spread out with plenty of space in separate bedrooms and dedicated living and dining areas. Every suite will include a washer/dryer, and kitchenettes or fully equipped kitchens, complete with a Frozen Concoction Maker, giving thirsty travelers convenient access to their favorite frosty drinks. For an elevated stay, one, two, three, and four-bedroom Margaritaville Vacation Club Presidential Reserve suites are also anticipated at this new resort. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is bringing new retail and dining experiences in Terminals A & B. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) is reimaging its concession offerings in a new Concession Master Plan. The plan was created to provide new retail and dining experiences in Terminals A & B, expand seating, and highlight the offerings of Central Florida. Phase 1 includes more than 40 retail and restaurant options for MCO visitors to shop, sip, and dine before their flights. In addition to nationally recognized restaurants and retailers, MCO visitors will be able to enjoy the best dishes from landmark Central Florida restaurants. Phase 1 restaurants include: Stasio’s Smoke & Donuts Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream SoDough Detroit Pizza Milkhouse Jam-Eng 4Rivers The House on Lang By mid-2025, work will begin on Phase 1 (of 3) of the Concession Master Plan. More than 77,000 square feet of space in Terminals A & B landside and airside areas will undergo significant transformations. GOAA is taking a holistic approach to curate a program that includes a wide variety of shopping and dining experiences. Healthier food options will be offered, as well as a selection of local, regional, and national brands, offering a curated dining experience that uniquely reflects the Orlando area. The WILDLY popular Brews Around the Zoo  fundraising event returns to Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Sanford this weekend. Sip and stroll around the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens during the wildly popular beer tasting event, Brews Around the Zoo.  On Saturday, April 12, the favorite adults-only event returns for an evening of craft beers, live music and wild encounters. Attendees can sample more than 35 craft beers as well as wine and seltzer selections while strolling through the Zoo from 5 to 9 p.m. Food will also be available for purchase. Gather some friends, pack your favorite food and drinks, and groove to some great jazz and blues from three bands on three stages. The much loved Jazz’n Blues Concert returns to Harry P. Leu Gardens on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 7 pm - 10 pm. Enjoy an incredible spring concert in Orlando’s most beautiful garden with an evening of jazz, blues, and a little bit of everything in between,  performed by some of Central Florida's finest bands. Pack a dinner picnic with your favorite foods and bring seating as you sit back, relax and enjoy the music. Bands Performing: Dave Capp Project featuring France Neil Betty Fox Band Velvet 45 The three bands will be in three locations in the 50-acre gardens. Bring chairs or blanket and sit wherever you like on any lawn area or find a nice spot in a gazebo. Stroll around to hear the bands and see the gardens. Tickets: Tickets cost $25.00 in advance, and $22.50 for Leu Member advance, plus tax and fees. Day of $30 plus tax and fees. Tickets are only available online only starting March 26.
