What’s a better New Years Resolution than to spend January in Orlando detoxing before an epic year of fun ahead!


Every January, millions of people around the world commit to abstaining from drinking alcohol for one month.


Known as Dry January, the public health initiative was launched in the UK back in 2013 by Alcohol Change UK to address the role alcohol plays in people's lives and health. Since then it has spread around the world, with Dry January officially launching in the US in 2023.


The 31-day challenge offers many benefits, including improved sleep, weight loss, and increased energy, perhaps a reason why more and more people are indicating they do not drink alcohol.


According to Civic Science, sobriety is up, with 42% of American adults indicating they were sober-curious, or reflecting on their alcohol consumption in 2024, this is up from 33% in 2022.
