Disney is not hanging around with the largest expansion ever at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, with permits being filed soon!
This past weekend at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro revealed exciting new details about what’s coming to Walt Disney World including the largest ever expansion at Magic Kingdom.
The massive expansion includes a brand new Villains Land where you will get up close and personal with monsters and villains, plus, an expansion in Frontierland themed around Pixar Animation Studios’ “Cars.” featuring two attractions.
In a press release issued by Walt Disney World today, Monday, August 12, the company confirmed that the Frontierland expansion in Magic Kingdom “officially begins” with permits being filed this week to start construction.
To make way for the Frontierland expansion, the picturesque Rivers Of America, Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Saywer Island will be removed.
