And a familiar amigo might stop by to enjoy the performance so remember to keep your eyes peeled. ¡Qué emoción!
Life imitates arte
Hispanic and Latin American countries are filled with so many diverse cultures, each with its own forms of art that define and celebrate traditions. Here are some ways Walt Disney World will honor these customs.
In honor of the month and available year-round, Disney Springs’ Art Walk will continue to flourish with a new mural addition featuring beautiful motifs live-painted by Nicole Salgar, a Miami-based artist that depicts her Latin roots in all her work. With a passion for sci-fi and folk art, her murals challenge viewers’ perspectives with an emphasis on experimentation. You won’t want to miss it!
Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park can learn to draw Dante from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco” and meet Hispanic Pixar animator Ana Ramirez at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station.
Art enthusiasts can visit Art of Disney at EPCOT, where paintings, limited-edition prints, figurines and more will be available, with Artist Spotlights highlighting work created by Hispanic or Latin American artists. Some of the artists this year will include Pixar talent Gaston Ugarte, Ana Lacaze and Luis Uribe.
¡Qué viva la música!
A celebración isn’t complete without music to dance and sing to, and there will be plenty next month!
This year during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE, three iconic Latin artists and a fun Latin local Orlando band will grace the America Gardens Theatre stage during the Eat to the Beat Concert Series presented by Florida Blue. You won’t want to miss it!
Luis Figueroa – Sept. 27
Mau Y Ricky – Sept. 28-29
Jesse & Joy – Sept. 30
Latin Ambition – Oct. 1-3
Guests can purchase an Eat to the Beat Dining Package that allows them to enjoy a delicious meal at a select EPCOT restaurant and secure reserved seating at the shows. To book, visit TasteEPCOT.com.
Comida for the soul
Ready to indulge in nostalgia and enjoy flavors that remind you of home? This year, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will dish up delights with more than 30 Global Marketplaces throughout the park, featuring several Hispanic and Latin dishes. ¡Son muy delicisos!
The fun doesn’t stop there. Guests will discover treats across the Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Resort Collection hotels, including the fan favoritos like the Encanto Cupcake, available at Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and the Pollo Guisado available at select locations like the End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort are returning this year.
¡Vamos Shopping!
