Currently Orlando International Airport are continuing to carry out comprehensive safety checks throughout the facility following Hurricane Ians path through Central Florida.
They are expecting to re-open tomorrow Friday September 30, but no official time is being given as they are unable to say when they will have the all clear to safely commence flights, however Virgin Airways have announced that after discussions with airport authorities, they are planning to operate their Orlando schedule outbound and inbound as planned, tomorrow, Friday September, 30.
The airline say they are aware of the various infrastructure challenges surrounding Orlando International Airport, and with all roads flooded around the airport and no transport links currently available they are advising customers to take extra care and time for your journey to the airport.
Virgin note that due to the disruption caused by Hurricane Ian, they may experience some challenges with theirr operation on the day, such as delayed departures and longer processing times through the airport.
