Update on Everest Place development including new Nickelodeon Hotel and Water Park Orlando

Everest Place is a 1 Billion dollar master-planned community that will feature luxury hotels including Mysk by Shaza, a halal-friendly space focused on health and wellness, and the return of Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts to Orlando, and much more!

Back in early January we published an article that revealed the plans to bring back Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts to Orlando were moving forward, and with us being asked almost every week if the resort is coming soon, we thought it was time for an update!

As of right now at the start of summer 2023, land clearing was underway in April this year, as well as construction on headquarters and showrooms for the development.

Vertical construction is expected to start soon.

The construction site is located along US-192, parallel to State Road 429 in Kissimmee, near the similar development of Margaritaville Resort, Sunset Walk, and H20 Water Park, and only minutes from Walt Disney World.

Once complete, Everest Place will include 783 condos, 793 hotel rooms, 900 rental apartments, 20 acres of land for commercial and retail space, and 12 acres for a recreational water park. The development will also include a park, a lake with a waterfront boardwalk, and nature trails.

Phase One of construction will deliver a mix of retail and commercial spaces, medical offices, four resort hotels including the Nickelodeon Resort, and a luxury MYSK by Shaza Resort, plus residential units, and multi-family apartments.

Currently, developers are offering purchase reservations for residential units, Mysk Condos at Everest Place with prices starting from $325,000.

No timescale has yet been given for the opening of the Nickelodeon Resort, other than its believed that the first phase of Everest Place is set to open in the first quarter of 2025.

More details on Everest Place can be found on the official website.

The company behind the development, Everest Group entered into a partnership with Paramount and Nickelodeon, to include a 4-Star Nickelodeon Resort within Everest Place.

The resort is described as somewhere where families will enjoy world-class entertainment amenities and have the opportunity to interact with the brand's globally beloved franchises, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many more from the expansive Nickelodeon portfolio.

The new Nickelodeon Orlando Resort would be the only Nick Resort in North American.

It's believed that the new resort will offer amenities and entertainment similar to Nickelodeons existing two resorts, located in the Dominican Republic and Mexico

Nickelodeon has a long history with Orlando, including the long gone but much loves Nickelodeon Studios in Universal Studios Florida, which at the time served as the network's East Coast production hub as well as a tourist destination, producing shows here in Orlando including Kenan & Kel, and Double Dare.

The studios sadly closed on April 30, 2005, to make way for The Blue Man Group which too has since long gone.

Then there was the Nickelodeon Suites Resort that opened in 2005, just outside Walt Disney World, that eventually closed its doors in May 2016, before being converted to a Holiday Inn.
