Universal Orlando Resort had closed this week due to the potential for Hurricane Milton to tear through the resort with hurricane force winds, heavy rain, flooding and tornadoes. Now that the storm has passed the resort has shared an update.
This week, Universal Orlando Resort had closed ahead of a potentially devastating hit from Hurricane Milton.
On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk all closed early at pm, remaining closed today, Oct. 10.
Universal Volcano Bay was closed, Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10, plus ,Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida was also canceled for Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.
Now that the storm has passed with minimal damage to the resort, Universal has announced that the resort be will returning to normal operations on Friday, October 11.
Univeral issued the following update on their website, "Our hearts are with all those impacted by Hurricane Milton, and we are dedicated to helping our community recovery. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Team Members, we will resume normal operations beginning on Friday, Oct. 11"
On Friday, Oct. 11, Universal will return to normal operation across all theme parks, CityWalk and Halloween Horror Nights inclusive of Early Park Admission for Universal Orlando Hotel guests, Premier Passholders and Preferred Passholders
