A Tornado Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service in Melbourne. It was issued at 10:43 am on April 3, 2024, and is in effect until 5 pm, today for Lake County, Orange County, Seminole County, Sumter County, Volusia County.
The National Weather Service says there is an extraordinary threat to life or property in Lake County, Orange County, Seminole County, Sumter County, Volusia County.
In addition to the Tornado, there is severe storm potential from 1 pm - 5 pm in the Orlando region, especially across the I-4 Corridor, with winds gusts of 60 mph possible. Plus, gusty winds up to 40 mph are expected until 8 pm tonight.
Orlando International Airport are warning of possible delays throughout the afternoon, with the FAA issuing a warning that weather will force them to slow many flights along the East Coast to keep everyone safe. Expect delays, especially in Florida.
You are advised to check your flight status with your airline before you go to the airport, and to arrive early and monitor.
