The 18 month Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations are over, coming to a end yesterday, March 31.
With the party over, all that remains is to remove the decor from throughout the resort, and sell all the remaining merchandise!
Yesterday, Walt Disney World confirmed that the phased removal of the 50th embellishments that were added to Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom would begin this weekend, including the 50th Anniversary medallion at the front of the castle.
What Walt Disney World did not revealed is whether Cinderella Castle would keep its EARidescent color scheme or if it would return to its pre 50th Anniversary color scheme.
Now we know that the current EARidescent color scheme of pink and blue at Cinderella Castle is set to remain beyond the 50th Anniversary celebration at the Magic Kingdom.
All that is expected to change is the removal of the bunting, turret jewels, and the 50th Anniversary medallion.
Also, we brought you the news yesterday that the Golden 50h Statues are to remain in the resort for now!
