Britain's favourite Saturday night TV show, Saturday Night Takeaway with Ant and Dec is broadcasting live to the U.K. today Saturday, April 8, at 2 pm EST / 7 pm UK time from Universal Orlando Resort.
The stage is set with the massive TV set in place at Universal's Island's Of Adventure, with Velocicoaster and The Incredible Hulk Coaster acting as the perfect backdrop for the live TV show.
ITV's Saturday Night Takeaway will be hosted today by the popular presenters of the show, Anthony "Ant" McPartlin and Declan "Dec" Donnelly who are the most successful TV presenters in the UK, and are actually in the Guinness Book Of Records for "the most National Television Awards won consecutively for Best Presenters.
They will be assisted by show regulars Andy Peters, Jordan North, and Fluer East.
Nicole Scherzinger will also be appearing in the today's show as guest announcer, and is singing in the show's finale scene, The End Of The Show Show with the UCF Marching Band!
In the last few days the presenting team have been filming segments for the show at various locations around Universal Orlando Resort including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where Ant and Dec together with show regular Stephen Mulhern dressed in their Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry uniforms.
Co-host Stephen Mulhern also presents his own show on ITV called In For A Penny, and he was spotted in Universal Studios Florida filming an American version of the show called In For A Cent!
The reason the show is filming in UniversAl Orlando is because in the build up to today's finale, the show gave away over 200 tickets to the UK public for a flight to Orlando with British Airways, and in addition to the flights, each winner of the tickets has received 6 nights accommodations at Endless Summer Resort Surfside Inn and Suites at Universal Orlando Resort, plus tickets for the parks, and $2000 per person to spend on dining and shopping at Universal CityWalk!
The winners flight flew out from London Heathrow to Orlando International on April 3. with a plane packed with show winners, as well as the presenters Ant and Dec, and the production crew.
This is not the first time that the show has ran this competition and broadcast live from Orlando, pre-pandemic the show has been broadcast live from Orlando several times, alternating between Universal Orlando Resort at CityWalk and on Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World.
The show was last broadcast from Orlando five years ago.
