Exciting news from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay as the much loved Sky Ride is back up and running at the park, whereyou can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the park from high up in the sky in a gondola.
Get ready to soar to new heights as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay have announced that after a very long wait, The SkyRide will reopen this Friday, February 2!
Guests can once again take in the views of Busch Gardens from this iconic ride suspended 50 feet above the park. The SkyRide which is one of the park's oldest attractions, dating back to 1974, has been closed since 2020, when the park closed due to the Cvid-19 pandemic.
With the ride closed for such a long period of time, many believed that the ride would never re-open, but last year Busch Gardens posted a video on their social media channels, showing the gondolas being re-painted. At the time the park reassured everyone that the cable car ride was here to stay, and now true to their word, once again we can all experience a relaxing bird's eye view of the amazing rides and animals as we glide over the park!
The SkyRide which was manufactured by Swiss manufacturer Von Roll was one of over 100 throughout the world including the Disneyland Skyway which was Von Roll's first aerial ropeway in the United States.
It is believed that there is now less than 10 remaining in operation throughout the world.
Please note, there is a $5 fee for guests to ride The SkyRide. although Pass Members ride the SkyRide for free.
