Back for its ninth year, the SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival has revealed an impressive line-up of mural artists for this year's Tampa Bay festival!
The annual SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival returns in October to illuminate the power of art in public spaces.
The colorful festivals is back for its 9th year this October, kicking off on Friday, October 13 the festival wraps up October 22.
This year’s festivities will bring nearly two weeks of artistic celebration and discovery, as 14 celebrated artists descend on the Sunshine City to create stunning murals. By using the walls and streets as canvas, SHINE transforms shared spaces into a world-class outdoor gallery featuring top contemporary local, national, and international artists.
Fabstraq, Michael Vasquez, Sarah Sheppard, Chris Dyer, Artist Jones and Rhys Meatyard are the main artists who will create murals downtown during what has become the city’s signature art event.
Now in its ninth year, SHINE will add a total of 14 new murals throughout the art districts, plus a series of street art-related events, tours and “Bright Spot” community projects.
Produced by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, SHINE has created nearly 150 murals throughout downtown and the surrounding arts districts since 2015.
