Sad news for Central Florida vinyl and CD lovers as East West Records, located at 4895 S Orange Ave, Orlando is closing down.

The funky, independent record shop was established back in 1971, making it the oldest record store in Florida, and one of the oldest in the country, a go to spot for generations of music fans.

The news of the demise of East West Records after an incredible 53 years has been shared on the shops Facebook Page, with the current owners, the Serros family commenting, "After years of sharing the love of music with multiple generations, we’re sad to announce that East West Records will be closing its doors. It's been an incredible journey, and we couldn’t have done it without your support." The message continues, "Come in and celebrate the end of an era with us. We’d love to see your smiling faces one last time. Let’s make these final days unforgettable!"

Before the music is switched off forever, East West Record are having a 50% OFF sale on EVERYTHING in the store. This is your chance to grab your favorite records, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, posters, and merchandise at unbeatable prices.

The sale will take place Friday, August 9 - Sunday, August 11. Swing by early to be one of the first to take a visit down memory lane and enjoy the special pricing that East West Records is offering to its loyal customers.

East West Music & More was started in by a young couple, Roman and Hannah Skrobko, who shared a passion for music. The lack of music availability where they lived and their passion for music drove them to save up until they were able to open their own local music store in 1971.

Hanna and Roman, are well known in the community for their music knowledge and great personality's and although the ownership changed, with the keys to the record store passed to Emma Serros and the Serros family who Hannah Skrobko describes as being, "such amazing custodians of our little legacy,"' East West will be greatly missed by many.
