Check out the upcoming tenant changes at popular neighborhood market and food hall, East End Market.
East End Market on Corrine Dr, Orlando is saying goodbye to a selection of tenants, and welcoming some familiar new neighbors this fall.
Earlier this summer, Skyebird Juice Bar and Experimental Kitchen closed on July 21 after 11 years, making way for Small Food Group, allowing Sonny Nguyen to bring two passion projects to life.
Opening in ealry 2025, Rion’s Ocean Room will serve fresh poke by the pound, plus premium ahi, fatty salmon, ono and more, while Gyukatsu Rose will be serving up rare beef cutlet meals alongside sizzling stone grills for a tasty Japanese experience.
Now, there are big plans for the second floor Domu Lab, with Sonny Nguyen of Domu and Johnny Tung of Bento Group exiting the in-house incubator kitchen. Unitl now, the space has offered growing food businesses and Orlando's aspiring foodpreneurs a space to grow their business, and has been home to pop-up residencies by Michelin-awarded Camille, and most recently Danilo’s Pasta Bar who are leaving the space on August 31.
With Domu Lab bowing out of the incubator kitchen, the second-floor retail store within East End Market, The Neighbors are taking over the day-to-day management and operation of the kitchen this fall.
Jacob Zepf of The Neighbors has brought in Matt Hinckley of East End Market's Hinckley’s Fancy Meats as the executive chef for the kitchen, with Leah Cordova from the pair's Mid Drive Dive as the Chef de Cuisine.
Leah will lead the kitchen with guidance from Matt., with the focus of the new offerings being healthy, shareable cold and hot plates. Chef Leah brings a creative cooking style that is inherently nostalgic but very much grounded in the present aesthetic and growing season.
The new concept aims to fill a void of health-forward lunch, brunch and dinner options left behind by the departure of Farm & Haus & Skyebird from the Market. Interestingly, the space will not offer the chef’s table experience of its previous occupants, opting for a more relaxed open seating arrangement.
The concept should be up and running some time in September after making a couple of cosmetic changes to the kitchen. Look for updates, sneak peeks and more coming soon!
