Opera Orlando Studio Artists are presents a touring production of Cinderella, riffing on Massenet’s Cendrillon.
The City of Oviedo, in partnership with Opera Orlando, invites you to an unforgettable, family-friendly presentation of Cinderella. This magical event, sponsored by the Oviedo Public Arts Board, is free to the public and sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Opera in the Park will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11 am at the Oviedo Amphitheatre and Cultural Center, located at 357 Center Lake Lane.
This 45-minute adaptation is perfectly suited for opera lovers of all ages, and audiences will encounter all of their favorite characters: Cinderella, the Evil Stepmother, a benevolent Fairy Godfater, and, of course, Prince Charming.
When Cinderella is forbidden to attend the dance by her horrid stepmother, a Fairy Godfather calls upon magic to conjure up a sparkling dress, a sweet ride, and of course, the finishing touch — an enchanted slipper. But once Cinderella arrives, is it really going to be everything she has hoped it will be?
Look forward to a performance filled with enchanting costumes, captivating music, and the timeless charm of this classic fairy tale. Bring a chair, blanket, snacks, or a picnic lunch, and enjoy this incredible show from the beautiful Center Lake Lawn.
