The 44th Annual Sunnyland Boat Festival sails into downtown Tavares this weekend

The three day event attracts six to eight thousand people, with something for everyone interested in antique and classic boating.

Sunnyland Boat Festival

The Annual Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival on Lake Dora is the largest Antique and Classic boating event on the East Coast. People from all over the county attend each year.


The event now in its 44th year, is located at Wooten Waterfront Park in downtown Tavares, and directly on Lake Dora, the 3-day show offers fun for all folks interested in antique and classic boating. 


This years, festival takes place from Friday, March 21 - Sunday, March 23, and will feature between 150 to 200 boats on display.

In addition to the boats on display, the event will feature a nautical flea market with more than 80 vendors with many hard to find marine parts for sale. There will also be a selection of stunning outboard motors on display as well as numerous race boats, not to mention amphicars, seaplanes, and more.


There will also be live entertainment, food trucks, and a beer garden, plus a car show, and fun for the kids.



The show take place on a one-third of a mile of beautiful waterfront on Lake Dora at Wooton Park. The show site address is 123 South Joanna Ave, Tavares, Florida 32778.


Free parking is available at the City of Tavares Parking Garage, located 2 blocks from the show site (off of St. Abrams at the west traffic circle).


Admission is $10.00 for adults (Cash or Credit Card Sales at the gate available), with children 12 and under free with paid adult admission (limit three per adult ticket).


The show is organized by the Sunnyland Chapter, the largest chapter in the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS) and represents the entire state of Florida. The show originally started in Sanford, before moving to Mount Dora and for the past 14 years the show has been in Tavares.
