The illustrious Sunburst Convention of Celebrity Impersonators, an iconic event that

has celebrated the art of celebrity tribute performances for two decades, will be hosting its final gathering this September.

Set to take place at The Florida Hotel and Convention Center from September 4-8, 2024, this year's convention marks the end of an era for an event that has brought together some of the most talented impersonators and tribute artists from around the globe.

Founded in 2004 by producers Greg and Jackie Thompson, the Sunburst Convention has grown into a cornerstone event for the celebrity tribute industry, a multi-million dollar sector that spans conventions, corporate events, cruise ships, nightclubs, and more. Over the years, the convention has offered a vibrant platform for professional impersonators and tribute artists to network, showcase their talents, and secure bookings in front of top talent agents.

The convention's significant impact on the industry has not gone unnoticed. The Sunburst Convention has been featured on high-profile media outlets including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Rachel Ray Show," CNN, and even inspired the documentary "Just About Famous."

"Ending the Sunburst Convention after 20 incredible years is bittersweet," said Greg Thompson, co-founder of the Sunburst Convention. "We've seen so much talent come through our doors, and it's been an honor to provide a space for these artists to shine and advance their careers. We look forward to making this final convention the best one yet."

Attendees of the 2024 convention can expect a jam-packed schedule of performances, networking opportunities, and workshops designed to celebrate and advance the craft of celebrity impersonation.

As always, the event will culminate in a showcase where artists will perform their acts in front of an audience filled with talent scouts and booking agents.
