Now that the worst of the weather has passed the Orlando area, Orlando International Airport has shard an operational update on what action the airport is taking to resume commercial operations:
Since commercial operations ceased at 4pm yesterday, an emergency plan was put in place in order to secure the facility. Damage assessment crews are beginning the recovery process by assessing inside facilities and then moving outside to address issues as weather conditions improve. We'll post updates as they become available
While no official announcement has ben made, it is expected that MCO will resume phased commercial operations later this evening after its extensive safety checks.
