Snoopy, America’s favorite America's Favorite Beagle has now landed at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on the Space Coast.
The beloved Peanuts characters including Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, Sally, Linus, Lucy, Franklin and Schroeder will now take guests on a journey through NASA’s history, the Artemis missions, and the future of space travel.
All Systems Are Go is an innovative, immersive and educational new live entertainment experience featuring state-of-the-art puppetry, lights, sounds, and more at the transformed Universe Theater.
The new show is included with admission and suitable for all ages. Check the Daily Schedule upon arrival for showtimes.
Located in Universe Theater, guests can join Snoopy and Woodstock as they’re called by a Launch Director to assist with the next NASA mission – Artemis. From training for the mission to testing the Orion spacecraft to visiting other planets, guests can go on a sensational, out-of-this-world 20-minute adventure full of history, education and imagination.
Commissioned form Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson of Montreal-based production company Monlove (Scooby-Doo! and the Lost City of Gold), the 20-minute show features beloved Charles Schultz characters including Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, Sally, Linus, Lucy, Franklin and Schroeder, appearing as four- to five-foot-tall articulated characters operated by puppeteers.
On stage, the Peanuts gang will narrate the history of NASA, the Artemis missions (which will land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon as well as establishing the first long-term presence there) and the space program’s future plans.
Executive producers Allaire and Ferguson created the original concept, story and music for the experience. To create an immersive environment for family audiences, Monlove transformed the visitor complex’s 300-seat Universe Theater with Dolby Atmos sound, motorized scrims and more than 20 integrated laser projectors. Using an AR smartphone app, audience members can scan the venue to discover more surprises.
“We have been working hard to make sure that our multi-generational appeal extends to our youngest space explorers,” Therrin Protze, COO of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, said. “This new show will delight guests of all ages as it features the loveable Peanuts characters and Snoopy, who has contributed to the excitement for NASA human spaceflight missions for more than 50 years.”
Before the show even starts, guests can participate in an interactive experience via their smartphones to reveal hidden space elements and create a unique music sequence.
To enhance the quality of the immersive All Systems Are Go experience, an original score, created exclusively for the show, showcases an eclectic mix of orchestral, contemporary, and jazz styles.
