Seminole County officials and the Parks and Recreation Department have celebrated the opening of a new boardwalk and trail in Lake Mills Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, June 17, 2024.

The boardwalk provides park-goers with a scenic stroll through a canopy of trees and connects to paved lakefront trails. The new trails are designed to replace and expand upon previously deteriorated trails and form a loop that runs through Lake Mills Park.

The park also features pavilions, campgrounds, and other amenities.

The new boardwalk and trail was made possible through the One Cent Infrastructure Sales Tax, or Penny Sales Tax, which helps maintain the County’s infrastructure as well as funds from the American Rescue Plan Act.
