Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing for yet another lengthy refurbishment!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing in early January for an extended period of refurbishment to address ongoing reliability issues with the aging coaster.
In 2023, the roller coaster which is now 24 years old, was closed from early February through until late May as Disney worked on reliability issues, and as issues have continued, Disney are once again closing the coaster for another period of extended refurbishment.
The closure will begin as soon as the holiday crowds disappear, with the coaster closed from January 8, until at least late February, which is when the Walt Disney World refurbishment calendar currently extends to.
While Walt Disney World have not commented on the closure, it will probably not stop the ongoing rumors that the coaster will be re-themed from rock band Aerosmith during the closure, but it is though it is only the rides reliability issues that the closure will address.
