Downtown Orlando locals can now get a taste of Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken, the chain that proclaims to "serve the best dang biscuits and beyond!"
Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken opened its first Orlando area location in Winter Park last summer, in what was touted at the first of 20 planned locations in the area.
Now the chain has cooked up its second area location in downtown Orlando, offering it's unique combination of chicken, biscuits and donuts on the ground floor of the Radius high-rise luxury apartment building at the corner of Rosalind Avenue and E. Livingston in Lake Eola Heights.
Rise is now open, but will celebrate its Grand Opening on Saturday, September 7 with lots of festivities for everyone.
There will be a free sticker to the first 200 customers. Specially designed for the opening. Plus, spin the prize wheel throughout the day to win free Rise food and merchandise. Everyone is a winner!

The menu for the chicken joint features specialty breakfast biscuit sandwiches with choices including Nashville hot chicken, pork sausage and buffalo chicken with blue cheese sauce.
For lunch, guests can choose a Righteous Box that include chicken strips on their own with a side or biscuits and gravy served up several delicious ways!
Side items include cheddar tots, crispy fried okra, cheese grits and seasoned rise fries.
After your chicken you can choose from a variety of donuts including chocolate iced, cinnamon sugar, and Cheerwine.
Rise already has locations in several states, including California, Virginia and Texas.
