Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken finally opening in Orlando

Orlando is finally going to get a taste of Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken, the chain that proclaims to serve the best dang biscuits and beyond!

We first brought you the news back in November last year that Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken was making its way to Orlando, with what is to be the first of 20 planned locations in the Orlando area.

Now the chain is ready to cook up its unique combination of chicken, biscuits and donuts in Winter Park, at Lakeside Crossing, 110 S. Orlando Avenue, next to Bulla Gastrobar and Sixty Vines.

The new location will open its doors on Saturday, August 12, with a big grand opening celebration planned for September 9.

If you've never heard of Rise, the restaurant began in North Carolina, offering southern comfort food and has been gained in popularity ever since, it's biscuits have even been named one of the best in the country by Food & Wine Magazine.

Rise prides itself on crave-worthy food and are so confident in its food it proudly proclaims that it is serving the best dang biscuits & beyond!

The menu for the chicken joint features specialty breakfast biscuit sandwiches with choices including Nashville hot chicken, pork sausage and buffalo chicken with blue cheese sauce.

For lunch, guests can choose a Righteous Box that include chicken strips on their own with a side or biscuits and gravy served up several delicious ways!

Side items include cheddar tots, crispy fried okra, cheese grits and seasoned rise fries.

After your chicken you can choose from a variety of donuts including chocolate iced, cinnamon sugar, and Cheerwine.

Rise already has locations in several states, including California, Virginia and Texas.

The planned locations so far include the Winter Park location, with a second in downtown Orlando and another in Oviedo.
