Light up your New Year’s Eve celebration at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens!. Guests can enjoy family-friendly countdowns at 6, 7 and 8 pm.
Say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025 with a unique twist at the Zoo’s Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild, presented by Publix. On Tuesday, December 31, in addition to its general hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Zoo will open for special hours from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. It’s the perfect way for families, especially those with smaller kids, to start off the festivities.
Then ring in the new year a little early with a spectacular display of lights during family-friendly countdowns at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. There will also be music, a live DJ and games. Just like other nights, guests can stroll a 3/4-mile path around the Zoo and take in dozens of larger-than-life, handcrafted lanterns in an experience of sound, light and color.
“New Year’s Eve is a time for celebration, and we’re excited to offer a unique and family-friendly way for our community to enjoy the holiday together,” said CEO Richard E. Glover, Jr. “With spectacular lanterns and our early countdowns, it’s the perfect opportunity to welcome 2025 with loved ones.”
Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild, presented by Publix, continues through Jan. 19, 2025, from 6 to 10 p.m. on select nights. This is the fifth year for the festival, which includes dozens of all-new, larger-than-life, hand-constructed lantern displays, plus an enchanting holiday section!
