The Florida State Fair is back with one of the largest midways in the United States, now featuring one of the largest rides travelling the country.

The 2025 Florida State Fair returns from February 6 through 17, and boasts spectacular live entertainment, a thrilling circus, interactive animal exhibits, a robust agricultural program and one of the largest midways in the USA.


The annual event will see hundreds of thousands of visitors converge on the Florida State Fairgrounds for what is one of the biggest events in Florida, and this year the midway will feature even more fun with the addition of new rides, including a massive new thrill ride that made it's debut last year.


The Kraken, which towers 80 feet tall and stretches its limbs to 147 feet high, is a pendulum-style ride that has a swinging arm, offering thrill-seekers the ultimate adrenaline-pumping thrill ride experience.



The Kraken is the first of its kind to travel across the U.S., manufactured in the Netherlands by KMG Rides, the XXL ride is regarded as one of the most intense traveling ride experiences in the world, and to those who know their thrills, the KMG XXL is described as the bigger brother to the Afterburner and Freak Out.

Iconic Midway Rides / Wade Shows was set to debut ‘The Kraken' at the Central Florida Fair in Orlando last year, but due to shipping delays, the ride debuted later in the year.


Transported on three semi trailers, The Kraken seats 20 riders per cycle with an hourly capacity of approximately 400 persons per hour.

In addition to The Kraken, this year's state fair will introduce a new family-friendly attraction: The Candy Adventure Fun House. A new, fun experience that is perfect for guests of all ages.


The Candy Adventure Fun House is a giant, colorful spectacle that invites guests to journey through a combination of a fun house and mirror maze. With dazzling lights, exciting sounds, and enticing sugary smells, The Candy Adventure Fun House, stretching 131 feet long.

In addition to all the fun things to do, the Florida State Fair is known for debuting an array of new, unique, and some might say bizarre food offerings, and this year's fair is no exception, The 2025 Florida State Fair is dropping some serious foodie bombs!


This year’s new food and drink lineup includes baked ziti on a stick, BBQ stuffed waffle, chocolate dunked Bavarian doughnut, chcicken and waffle funnel cake, chocolate bacon cheesecake on a stick, s'mores chcocolate bacon and more.

Returning this year, is the iconic ferris wheel, make sure to go for a spin on the glorious Midway Sky Eye, North America's tallest traveling Ferris wheel!

General admission and ride bands are available in advance for a discounted rate online.


The advance cost for an admissions ticket is $7 for children, $9 for seniors and $11 for adults. Plus, as always parking is free!
