Peppa Pig Theme Park closed Friday Sept. 27 due to damage from Hurricane Helene

Oink! Oink! Bad news for Peppa Pig fans as Peppa Pig Theme Park will be closed Friday due to damage from Hurricane Helene.

Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida's Big Bend region as a catastrophic Category 4 storm Thursday night, lashing the region with devastating winds around 140 mph, and a catastrophic storm surge.

In the Tampa Bay area, Helene brought major impacts to the region including flooding which prompted hundreds of water rescues in coastal areas. Damaging winds also caused many power lines and trees to fall.

At LEGOLAND Resort in Winter Haven, the resort remained open on Thursday, Sept. 26 ahead of the storm, now today, Friday, the resort has given an update following the storm.

LEGOLAND Florida sustained no damage and is open today, Friday Sept. 27 as normal , but damage has been sustained at Peppa Pig Theme Park due to wind.

Therefore this park will remain closed Friday, guests who have already purchased tickets are advised to check the rainy day policy on the website.

No reopening date has been given for the reopening of the park.
