The bad news is that its going to cost you more to park at Orlando International Airport, but the great news is that more moving walkways are coming, so less walking.
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Board who oversee Orlando International Airport, have voted to increase parking charges at the airport from October 1 this year.
The new daily parking rates, set to take effect Oct. 1 are:
Parking Garages A, B and C: $24 (up from $19)
Valet: $35 (up from $25)
Surface Lots: $20
Economy Lots: $14 (up from $10)
Reserved Parking: $3
The Board have also voted to approve the addition of moving walkways in the new Terminal C, following negative feedback from passengers.
A contract has been awarded to TK Elevator Corporation to retrofit Terminal C with the moving walkways.
The estimated cost for the new moving walkway, is a not-to-exceed amount of $1,174,500.
The walkway will be installed from the TSA checkpoint to Palm Court, constructed above the floor, so as not to destroy the floor beneath.
