Orlando Science Center is attempting to earn a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Title

Are you ready to Achieve Amazing? Join Orlando Science Center on Saturday, November 16 as they attempt to earn an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for “Most people flying paper rockets simultaneously!”

OSC will be filling the Dr. Phillips CineDome to capacity and providing each participant with multiple paper rockets and straw launchers. With the guidance of an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator, participants will launch their rockets simultaneously under the supervision of dedicated stewards who will verify the success of the launch.

OSC will have up to three attempts to earn the title, so participants should be prepared to spend up to 60 minutes in the CineDome as they complete the adjudication process.

Participants will not be able to leave the room during this process, or the entire attempt may be disqualified. For this reason, participants must be 8 years of age or older

There may be some down time as the adjudicator and stewards verify the details of the attempt, but don’t worry – OSC will have have exciting programming available for you! Learn about NASA’s Europa Clipper Mission and what it means for the future of space exploration, plus discover the science that was once science fiction with our special Sci-Fi Weekend programming.

Please note that there are strict rules for documenting the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt, including capturing video and photo evidence. Participants must be willing to be captured on camera.
