Two working moms, sisters-in-law Morgan and Jovana have brewed up a new space where both adults and kids are considered. Where kids are not just tolerated but welcomed, where adults can see but not hear, where a conversation can be finished and where a good cup of coffee can be had whilst still hot.

Does this sound like the kind of place for you? Well, welcome to The Burrow Cafe and Play, a new combined coffee shop and indoor kid’s play space located in Mills 50 District, at 618 N. Mills Avenue in the heart of Little Vietnam, in the space that was once the home of the Russian Ballet.

The Burrow Cafe & Play has already soft opened, and is currently open from 9 am - 3 pm, until Friday, January 17.

The new space will then officially open on Sunday, January 19.

Morgan and Jovana explained the idea behind the new space, "Many large-scale indoor play spaces like Chuck E. Cheese and Monkey Joe’s have saturated the market but where they get it wrong is not taking into account the adult experience. Some questions arise: What would make an adult want to spend time there? Can we provide kids with healthier food than a frozen pizza? Could we incorporate the important players in the surrounding community (like local food/coffee purveyors) to make it more of a one-stop-neighborhood-shop for parents, kids, caretakers and individuals? As work is heading to a more virtual realm, many caretakers need options that make it so they can sit and write an email while their child is safely and effectively engaged in play. Why not us? Why not now?"

The new space will be able to host your kid’s birthday and make it as hands-off as you want it to be, providing a fun and imaginative environment where children can explore, play, and celebrate!

And of course, parents get to relax and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, ensuring a stress-free celebration full of fun.
