Hurricane Milton made landfall late Wednesday evening south of Tampa at Siesta Key, as the worst of the hurricane move across the state, City of Orlando pulled emergency personel off the steets.

As the worst of Hurricane Milton made its way across Central Florida, both the Orlando Police Department and Orlando Fire Department stopped responding to emergencies until the worst of the dangerous storm has passed through Orlando.
The City of Orlando issued a public safety update informing residents that Orlando Police Officers and Orlando Fire Personnel have been pulled from the roads to shelter in place as winds have reached over 40 mph.
The good news is that they are back on the road with the City of Orlando informing residents of the decision via social media.
The city ask that everyone continues to shelter in place.
Call 9-1-1 to report any emergency.
The Citizen Information Line remains open to report any damage/downed trees, traffic lights, etc. Call 407-246-HELP(4357).
Orlando Police Department and Orlando Fire Department is back on the road to serve the community and begin the recovery process.
Orlando Police officers and Orlando Fire personnel have spend the days leading up to Hurricane Miltons arrival assisting residents, visitors, and businesses prepare for the storm.
This morning, Thursday, October 10, Orlando Polive Department assured everyone that patrol officers are on the front lines, answering calls for service and ensuring the safety of residents during Hurricane Milton.
They are also actively assisting those in need by transporting individuals to safe shelter.
