The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) will host its next Access for All event in partnership with the Art Bridges Foundation, offering free admission to the museum from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 17.

This program represents a long-term commitment to fostering inclusivity and accessibility in the arts. OMA is always working towards deconstructing barriers and creating a welcoming space for all members of the community to experience the inspirational power of art.

“These Access for All events, are a cornerstone of our mission to make art universally accessible to anyone, irrespective of background or status,” said Cathryn Mattson, CEO of the Orlando Museum of Art. “This initiative would not be possible if not for our long-standing partnership with, and generosity of, the Art Bridges Foundation.”

This month will feature a capitating performance by the Musiva Concert Series.

The museum will also be hosting La CinOMAthéque: a collaboration between OMA and the Enzian to provide a free screening of News from Home by Chantal Akerman, with an introduction by Elizabeth Danker Kritzer, Associate Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator at the University of Central Florida.

"Art is subjective to the individual perspectives of everyone who observes it; this is what makes it so powerful,” said Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon, Chief Curator of the Orlando Museum of Art. “At OMA, we aim to provide unique and inclusive exhibitions while also giving as many people as possible an accessible platform to connect with and experience them."

In addition to free admission, Access for All events feature guided tours and live demonstrations, providing visitors with opportunities to engage with art in a variety of ways. All are welcome to attend and experience the beauty and wonder of art in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
