An ongoing partnership with the Art Bridges Foundation enables free access to the museum each month.

The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is hosting its next Access for All event, presented in collaboration with the Art Bridges Foundation on Thursday, April 17, when guests can enjoy free admission to the museum from 10 am to 8 pm.

This initiative underscores OMA’s ongoing mission to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where all individuals can experience the transformative impact of art.

“At the Orlando Museum of Art, we believe that art should be within reach for everyone,” said Cathryn Mattson, CEO of the Orlando Museum of Art. “Thanks to our partnership with the Art Bridges Foundation, we’re thrilled to invite the entire community to join us on April 17 to explore our galleries and participate in hands-on art activities.”

Running April 17-18, the Central Florida Astronomical Society (CFAS) will present a pop-up astrophotography exhibition and interactive telescope experience. This two-day cosmic celebration will feature 65 breathtaking astrophotography pieces captured by CFAS’s amateur astronomers. CFAS members will be on-site with solar telescopes during the day and deep-space telescopes in the evening, offering museum-goers a journey through the wonders of the solar system. A live telescope feed to a screen will allow viewers to see the universe in real time.

Keep up to date with all the latest museum and gallery news from Central Florida.

April 17 Schedule:

Art activities for families will be taking place in the rotunda throughout the day. Guests are also encouraged to view the museum’s current exhibitions, including its newest, Juan David Tena: Portraits of FusionFest.

"This Access for All event offers a dynamic lineup designed to inspire museum visitors. From thought-provoking discussions to a visual astrophotography experience, we are excited to create opportunities for meaningful connections with art,” said Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon, Chief Curator of the Orlando Museum of Art. “Whether you're a first-time guest or a longtime supporter, we hope this day encourages exploration, sparks creativity, and deepens your appreciation for the diverse voices and stories represented in our exhibitions.”

In addition to free admission, Access for All events feature guided tours and enriching gallery activities, providing visitors with opportunities to engage with art in a variety of ways. All are welcome to attend and experience the beauty and wonder of art in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
