The 26th Annual Lakeland Pigfest will feature more than 150 competition barbecue teams during a weekend of good eatin’, good friends, and good tunes to benefit Lakeland-area charities.
The Lakeland Pigfest is a 2-Day BBQ Festival that's taking place on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28.
Pigfest is one of the largest Barbecue Competitions in the southeast and the Largest KCBS sanctioned event in Florida.
KCBS is “the largest international organization of barbeque enthusiasts” and has sanctioned the Lakeland Pigfest since its first contest in 1997. Professional teams travel from all over the U.S. to compete in four categories: Ribs, Chicken, Pork and Brisket.
Admission to Lakeland Pigfest 2023 is just $5 and kids 12 years and younger can enter for free.
The good eatin’ won’t cost you much and is well worth the value, stop by a Pig Bucks booth and exchange your cash for Pig Bucks, the official currency of the Lakeland Pigfest.
By purchasing food from competition teams, you are supporting their efforts and local charities.
Since 1997, the event has generated over 2 million dollars in charitable donations that have been disbursed to the Lakeland Community through various community partnerships.
The 2-day BBQ festival is held at the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus on Medulla Road in Lakeland.
