Nicole Update: Worst Of The Storm Passing As Orlando Theme Parks Sit It Out Waiting To Reopen

As of 9.00 am this morning, Forecasts are for conditions to begin slowly improving now, with the main tourism areas of Orlando and Kissimmee to be clear of the worst of the storm by around Noon, although gusty wind and rain will still linger into the afternoon.


For now wind is still gusting to around 43 mph, and we are still seeing rain showers, with the potential for isolated heavy showers.


Road conditions remain poor, and authorities are sill advising people to stay home for now.


The first of the area attractions are set to open at Noon, but it remains to be seen if this will be pushed back as the storm still lingers in the area.


Magic Kingdom is the first of Walt Disney World's theme parks set to open today at Noon, in a phased reopening for the resorts theme parks.

Magic Kingdom Park: Noon to 6:00 PM

(Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for 7:00 PM to midnight.)


EPCOT: 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM


Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM


Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

(Fantasmic! will not be presented on Thursday, November 10.)


LEGOLAND Florida and Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida are also set to reopen at Noon, while Universal Orlando have still not announced at what time they are planning to reopen today,.


SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa will both remain closed today, and plan to reopen tomorrow Friday, November 10.
