Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to make landfall on the east coast of Florida as a category 1 Hurricane.
Understandably Melbourne Orlando International Airport which is close to the projected area of where the storm will make landfall has announced that it will close at 2pm on Wednesday, November 9.
The airport has said that it will resume normal operations as quickly as possible once conditions are safe following Nicole.
Melbourne Airport will announce reopening details as soon as they are available.
They advise passengers to contact their airline directly for flight information.
Passengers are requested not to come to the airport during the hurricane closure.
