It is rumoured that a major overhaul of the universally hated Walt Disney World Park Pass Reservation System, and the 2pm Park Hopping limit is coming to the resort early in the new year.
Right now, ever guest is required to secure a Park Pass for the park and date of their choice in addition to purchasing a ticket.
The changes have been in the works by Disney management for at least the last few months, so this decision is nothing to do with the returning Bob Iger as CEO of Disney, and it will most likely debut in January after the busy holiday period has ended.
The best news is that Walt Disney World have been listening to guests complaints about the current system and based on significant negative feedback, the majority of the current Disney Park Pass system as we know it, will be removed and simplified, providing guests with a much better experience that is closer to that of pre-pandemic park entry.
Guests will also be pleased to hear that Park Hopping will return for date-based tickets at any time and will no longer be restricted to 2pm.
Sadly, Annual Passholders will still be restricted but will probably be able to park hop earlier than the current 2pm, although no time has been revealed at this time.
Guests with a date-based Walt Disney World theme park ticket will no longer require a Park Pass reservation, with park entry secured upon purchasing the ticket, although Annual Passholders will still require to make a reservation.
This news is unofficial right now, but is believed to be happening, although until it is officially announced by the house of mouse, we will have to wait and see when and if these changes happen.
