In a surprising move, Walt Disney World have removed the Extended Evening Hours in late September and October at Magic Kingdom, a perk that guests staying at the resort would have been looking forward to.
Walt Disney World Resort have just updated the operating calendar, and the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours that were scheduled to take place in late September and October have been scrubbed from the calendar.
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are a perk given to guests staying at select Walt Disney World and affiliate hotels.
The updated calendar which currently shows hours through until October 16, is only showing Extended Evening Hours for Magic Kingdom on September 6, 13, and 20, with no other Extended Evening Hours dates listed beyond that.
While no reason has been given for the removal of the perk for September and October, it's likely due to the after hours Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours could return to Magic Kingdom after Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has ended its run, but until the operating calendar is extended into November we will not know.
While extended Evening Theme Park Hours are off the calendar at Magic Kingdom, guests can still enjoy the perk at EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
