Winter Park is losing a popular Asian restaurant as King Bao announces that it is closing its location on W. Fairbanks Avenue.
Asian inspired restaurant King Bao has announced that it is closing the doors to its location in Winter Park.
The Asian-inspired restaurant located at 1881 W. Fairbanks Ave. officially opened the doors to customers back in early 2022, but will now serve its last food at the Winter Park location on Saturday, December 28 2024.
King Bao's other area locations at Mills, 710 N. Mills Ave., and Alafaya, 11768 E. Colonial Dr. are NOT affected by the closure, and will remain open.
King Bao announced the news on Instagram:
"After much thought and consideration , we’ve made the decision not to renew our lease at our Winter Park location. Our last day will be Saturday, December 28th. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who supported us along the way. Your loyalty and patronage have meant the world to us. Please continue to support our other two locations."
King Bao offers a variety of Asian-inspired dishes with a twist, such as Firecracker Shrimp Bao and Kickin Chicken Bao. The menu features a diverse range of options including innovative bao selections like the WTF "What the Fish" Bao, and a variety of tots, including Kimchi Tots and Truffle Tots.
