To take part in the regatta all canoes must be constructed using cardboard and duct tape.
Kelly Park's annual Cardboard Canoe Regatta returns! As part of your park admission fee on Saturday, January 18, you can watch participants as they build canoes from 8:30 am to 12 pm, using only cardboard and duct tape provided by the park's staff on event day.
Teams race their canoes in the clear, chilly 68-degree waters of Rock Springs beginning at 1 pm, with prizes awarded to Race Winner, Crowd Favorite and Most Spectacular Sinking!
The race takes place in the Rock Springs River at Kelly Park in Apopka, park admission is $3 per vehicle for 1-2 people, $5 per vehicle for 3-8 people, and $1 for additional person/walk-ins/motorcycles/bikes.

$3 for 1-2 people; $5 for 3-8 people; and $1 for additional person. Launching hours are between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.; guests must return no later than 5 p.m.
Tubing on Rock Springs
Kelly Park features a free-flowing natural spring (68 degrees year round), full-service concession, picnic pavilions and playground. Tube rentals are available from vendors outside the park; guests may bring their own pool noodles or floats that must be less than five feet in length or width.
