Opening Night welcomes the return of GRAMMY Award-winning Aoife O’Donovan whose enchanting melodies and evocative lyrics weave an unforgettable musical tapestry about the women heroes in her piece America, Come.

This work is inspired by the lives and letters of the Women’s Suffrage Movement in a musical exploration of voting rights for women during the 1920’s.

Then, immerse yourself in the soundscape of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 composed during his heroic election into the Bohemian Academy of Sciences. Every note in the Symphony explores a journey through landscapes and stirring melodies, sure to captivate you with its grandeur and passion.

Opening Night was due to take place on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday October 13, 2024 but due to Hurricane Milton, the performance has been rescheduled for TONIGHT, Tuesday, November 12 at Dr. Phillips Center – Steinmetz Hall.
