Jeff’s Bagel Run is expanding yet again, with the Central Florida chain opening the doors to its latest location in Winter Park.
Local bagel chain, Jeff’s Bagel Run is a company in a real hurry, having only opened the doors to its 6th location in O'Town West, yet another new location officially opens this week in Winter Park.
Joining locations at 11012 Daryl Carter Parkway, O-Town West, 1587 Future Way. Celebration, 2787 Old Winter Garden Rd, Ocoee, 4339 Edgewater Dr. Orlando, and 1351 Alafaya Trail # 1013, Oviedo, the new Winter Park location soft opened on Monday, June 17, with an official opening planned for Thursday, June 20.
The new location at Winter Park, is another chapter in the success story of Jeff's Bagel Run, with another two locations set to open in Clermont, and Conroy/Kirkman.
The bagel shops which are run by local couple, Jeff and Danielle Perera, are expanding thanks to a strategic partnership with Justin Wetherill, founder of 1337 Capital, and the co-founder of the uBreakiFix chain.
The new Winter Park store, located at 1332 N. Orange Avenue, Winter Park, will officially open on Thursday, June 20 at 7 am.
The first 200 customers in line will receive a Jeff’s Bagel Run car magnet and free bagel cards.
Customers purchasing a dozen or more bagels during the grand opening days will receive a coveted limited-edition Winter Park bagel bag, available while supplies last.
Plus, embracing the ethos of Bake Fresh, Bring Joy, Build Community, Jeff’s Bagel Run is set to foster connections with the local community by hosting a series of special events during its soft-opening phase in Winter Park! Until Wednesday, June 19, as a token of gratitude, various community heroes are invited to savor a complimentary bagel on allocated days, simply by presenting their work ID or donning their uniform.
After relocating to Central Florida in 2016, Jeff and Danielle Perera found themselves longing for the authentic New York-style bagels that Danielle grew up enjoying.
Dissatisfied with the options available, they decided to take matters into their own hands. In 2019, when Jeff faced a layoff, Danielle saw an opportunity to turn their shared love of bagels into something more. With Jeff as the baker and Danielle as the taste tester, they embarked on a journey to perfect the art of bagel making.
Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, Jeff initiated what would become known as the “bagel run” – personally delivering freshly baked “Always boiled, never toasted” bagels door-to-door to friends, neighbors, and local businesses. The response was overwhelming, with demand quickly outpacing supply. Fuelled by the enthusiasm of their community, Jeff’s Bagel Run evolved from a humble home kitchen operation to a thriving business.
The success of the “bagel run” paved the way for Jeff and Danielle to expand their reach, selling their delectable bagels at local markets and events. Finally, in June 2021, they realized their dream of opening the first Jeff’s Bagel Run brick-and-mortar location in Ocoee, Florida.
With Danielle leaving her corporate job to join Jeff “full bagel,” the Perera family poured their hearts and souls into creating a warm, inviting space where customers could experience the joy of freshly baked bagels.
