The popular Audubon Park used bookstore has announced its upcoming closure, with a new bookstore taking over the space soon after.
Audubon Park bookstore, Joybird Books which has been located at 3018 Corrine Drive Orlando for nearly three years, has announced that it is coming to the end of its chapter as a popular location for secondhand books in the Audubon Park neighborhood.
Announcing the sad news on social media, Joybird Books owner, Andrew announced that he will be closing the store on Saturday, October 26.
Andrew explained that it is no longer financially viable to keep the store open, and with the stores lease expiring on November 1, the decision has been made not to renew the lease.
Joybird Books will no longer be accepting donations or trade-ins, and if customers have any outstanding gift cards or trade-in credit, they are encouraged to use it through the month of October. If your trade-in credit has not been used by November 1st, it will unfortunately expire.
Gift cards, however, stay on record, and can be used online at the Joybird Books website, https://www.joybirdbooks.com, which will continue, with plans to revamp it in the near future.
Leading up to the stores closure on November 1, the bookstore plans to host a massive sale and fun events to say farewell to the local community. Details will be posted on the bookstores Facebook Page.
