Hurricane Milton - Central Florida Concerts and Events Canceled or Postponed

Hurricane Milton is forecast to bring the risk of life-threatening impacts to the west coast of Florida, with the potential to tear through the I-4 corridor and into Orlando.


Milton is currently expected to rip into Florida as a dangerous hurricane close to Tampa Bay, bringing damaging winds, life-threatening storm surge and torrential rain. Here in Orlando.


With the prospect of severe weather including hurricane force winds over Central Florida many shows, concerts, and events are either being canceled or postponed.

Concerts and Events Canceled or Postponed


Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is closely monitoring Hurricane Milton and has announced today all performances scheduled for Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10, 2024, are canceled or have been postponed. 


Kristen Warren & Creek, The String Queens have been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. Additionally, Thursday’s performance of Phantasmagoria XV: Grim and Grimmer Tales has been canceled—guests are encouraged to transfer tickets to the Friday or Saturday performance.


All ticketing questions or concerns can be directed to the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office at 407.358.6603. 


Additionally, AdventHealth School of the Arts has suspended classes Tuesday, October 8 through Thursday, October 10. If you have questions, please reach out to classes@drphillipscenter.org.


Due to the impending path of Hurricane Milton, Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF will be closed on Wednesday, October 9th.


As such, performances affected include:

Oct. 9, 2 p.m. matinee, “What the Constitution Means to Me.” This performance will now be held Saturday, October 12th, 2 p.m., at Orlando Family Stage.


Oct. 9, 7:30 p.m., “What the Constitution Means to Me.” This performance will now be held Sunday, October 13th, 7:30 p.m. at Orlando Family Stage.


Current ticket holders for these respective performances can use their current tickets / seat locations for admission to the theater this weekend. All tickets can be picked up from Will Call at Orlando Family Stage before the rescheduled event.


As of 5 p.m. today, Thursday’s 2 and 7:30 p.m. performances of “What the Constitution Means to Me” are still scheduled as originally planned / subject to change.


Current ticket-holders to these respective performances can call Orlando Shakes’ Box Office tomorrow (Tuesday) from 12 noon - 5 p.m. for additional information, or email BoxOffice@OrlandoShakes.org.


School performances of Macbeth, performed by University of Central Florida’s Master of Fine Arts students, have also been canceled, including:

Tuesday, October 8th, at Orlando Family Stage

Thursday, October 10th, at Orlando Museum of Art


Due to the potential impact from Hurricane Milton, the King Center, along with EFSC campus, will be closed Tuesday October 8 – Thursday October 10. At this time, the Brevard Symphony Orchestra concert scheduled for Saturday, October 12th will proceed as scheduled


The Straz Center will be closed Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10 in anticipation of Hurricane Milton.


The scheduled performances of THE BOY WHO LOVED BATMAN from Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10 are cancelled. Ticketholders will be contacted.


Classes and activities at the Patel Conservatory are cancelled from Monday, Oct. 7 through Thursday, Oct. 10.  Conditions permitting, we plan to reopen on Friday, Oct. 11.


Monday's game, Oct. 7 vs. Nashville at Amalie Arena, originally rescheduled from Sep. 27 due to effects from Hurricane Helene, has been cancelled as the Tampa Bay region prepares for Hurricane Milton. Info: https://tbl.co/10-6update


Due to Hurricane Milton, TONIGHT’S El Cuarteto de Nos show at House of Blues Orlando has been postponed. A new date is in the works and will be announced as soon as possible. All tickets will be honored for the new date


Landon Conrath will be rescheduled.


What Lies Below, Two Sides of Me, Counting Bodies, Until I Die has been cancelled.


Due to Hurricane Milton, Wednesday night's Tori Kelly show at House of Blues Orlando has been CANCELLED. Refunds are available at original point of purchase


October 9 Meditation for Peace with Puja is cancelled due to weather.


Sunset at the Zoo has been cancelled as the zoo will be closed due to Hurricane Milton.


Due to Hurricane Milton, the wave to earth show originally scheduled for Thursday, October 10th at House of Blues Orlando will now take place on June 12th, 2025. All tickets will be honored for the new date


Due to Hurricane Milton’s projected impact and inclement weather conditions in the region, Feast on the 50 has been postponed for one week. The event will now take place on Thursday, October 17. Existing tickets for the event will be honored on the 17.


Due to the impact of Hurricane Milton, the Teddy Swims concert scheduled for October 10 has been canceled. All tickets will be automatically refunded at the point of purchase.


Due to the impending weather, Thursday’s Kirk Franklin – Reunion Tour show at Amalie Arena is being postponed to Wednesday, October 23. All tickets will be honored for the new date.


Due to the impending weather, Friday’s Kirk Franklin – Reunion Tour show at Addition Financial Arena is being postponed to 10/17.  All tickets will be honored for the new date.


Due to inclement weather, the for KING + COUNTRY concert scheduled for Friday, October 11 at Amalie Arena has been rescheduled to Monday, November 4. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.


After reviewing the updated information on Hurricane Milton, Dog Day for October 12 has been canceled. This was a difficult decision however, due to the safety of all and to allow staff time for clean up, the event was canceled. Stay safe. Please save the date for our next Dog Day on January 25, 2025.
