Clowns from around the country and eleven other countries are putting on the grease paint, adding big red nose's, and lacing up their huge clown feet as they get ready to converge on Orlando for the World Clown Association Convention!
If you have a phobia of clowns you might want to give International Drive a wide berth as from today through Friday, March 24, the Avanti Palms Resort and Convention Center is playing host to the five day convention of everything fun!!
In between sunning themselves by the pool, the clowns will attend educational classes, participate in competitions, meetings, and enjoy socialising, while also taking part in a humanitarian trip to the Orlando Rescue Mission on Thursday, March 23.
“Through clowning you can change the world one person at a time. One of the areas I specialize in is the caring clown, entertaining at nursing homes, adult and children daycares, and hospitals. I also love ministry clowning by sharing a message through a skit or song,” said Louise Carnesale aka LuLu, the 2023 WCA Convention chair.
All competitions are open to the general public, who are welcome to attend.
