Hamburger Mary's search for a new home is over, as it moves into once popular dinner show venue.

American bar and grill chain Hamburger Mary's know for its diner classics and cocktails, served with a side of quirky entertainment, announced on May 23, 2024 that it was to close its downtown Orlando location in the historic Bumby Building after 16 years.

The much loved location at 110 W. Church St. closed its doors for the last time on Sunday June 2, with regular live entertainment including Mary's and Mimosas Brunch Affair, and Dining with the Divas taking to the stage for one last show before the lights were turned off at the downtown location.

At the time of the closure, Hamburger Mary's revealed that they were actively looking for a new home, before announcing via Facebook, that they were making a move to Kissimmee from Downtown Orlando, "The cat is out of the bag! Kissimmee, are you ready for Hamburger Marys?"

At the time no specific details were revealed on the move. Now, almost a year later, we have the good news, with Hamburger Mary's annoucning that they have taken over the shuttered space that was home to the now closed Capone's Dinner Theater on Highway 192.

The new home of Hamburger Mary's offers a large theater space, free on-site parking and even a hotel!

Hamburger Mary's Orlando owner John Paonessa shared the good news on Facebook, "We are excited to share with you that we are in the home stretch in bringing to you the new Hamburger Mary's in Kissimmee. We have been revamping and remodeling the old Capone's Dinner Theater on Hwy 192 to bring you an amazing venue where we have a spectacular theater for our shows, free on-site parking and even a hotel on property for those who want to have a great place to stay close to the attractions and enjoy entertainment and great food from your friends at Hamburger Marys."

John went on to thank everyone for the long wait for Hamburger Mary's to return to the area, " We so appreciate your patience, loyalty and kindness during this process. We love y'all and thank you so much for your support!"

Known for the best drag Shows, bingo, trivias and brunches in town, (and its outspoken opposition to the State’s “Protection of Children Law,” Senate Bill 1438), Hamburger Mary's was a big loss for downtown.

So why did they closed? With less customers in the downtown area, Hamburger Mary's decided it was time to bid downtown farewell, and look to set up home elsewhere, and now Kissimmee gets to have the fun!
