Halloween Horror Nights AXED TONIGHT due to Hurricane Helene, with Universal CityWalk closing early!

As Hurricane Helen continues to target Florida bringing severe weather to Cental Florida, Universal orlando Resort has updated its hours for tonight, including cancelling this evenings Halloween Horror Nights.

Hurricane Helene's effects are already being felt here in Central Florida with the outer bands of the storm bringing rain throughout the area.


While the catastrophic storm is taking aim at the Big Bend area of Florida, and thankfully Central Florida will avoid a direct hit, significant storm effects are expected in the hours ahead.


The National Weather Service is expecting the greater Orlando area to experience wind gusts in excess of 50 mph together with the threat of isolated tornados, and torrential ria showers.


With this in mind, Universal Orlando Resort has decided to cancel tonights Halloween Horror Nights, Thursday, Sept. 26.



The resort expects Halloween Horror Nights to return on Friday, Sept. 27.


If you have a Halloween Horror Nights single night dated ticket for Thursday, Sept. 26 it will be automatically honored for a single night use through Sunday, Sept. 29. All other HHN ticket questions can be directed to our Guest Contact Center team by calling 800-711-0080.


In addition, Universal CityWalk will close early at 8 pm.


Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure will close at their regularly scheduled times – with Universal Studios closing at 5 pm and Islands of Adventure closing at 8 pm.


All hotels remain operational as they focus on taking care of guests.


Universal anticipate a full reopening of the resort on Friday, Sept. 27.
