Gobble! Gobble! Gobble! Sign up now for the Seniors First Turkey Trot 5k at Lake Eola Park

The Turkey Trot tradition continues in 2024!  Join the Seniors First Turkey Trot 5k for the best way to start Thanksgiving Day!


A Thanksgiving tradition now in its 35th year. the Seniors First Turkey Trot 5k returns on November 28, 2024.


Join Track Shack at beautiful Lake Eola bright and early Thanksgiving morning and burn some calories before you feast!


Over 4,000 runners, joggers and walkers, many dressed in full costumes or Thanksgiving themed hats will hit the course for a morning of fun in this Race to End Senior Hunger, raising money for Meals on Wheels and other programs that support seniors in our community.

7:00 am: Costume judging begins by Track Shack Registration tent

7:45 am: Turkey Call judging begins by Start/Finish Line

8:00 am: 5k (3.1 miles)

9:15 am: FREE Tot Trot

Free Tot Trot

Kids' runs are free for all children. Distances range from 100 yards to 400 yards and children will be placed in age appropriate groups. Registration available on race week. The Kids’ Runs start and finish at the finish line.  All finishers receive a ribbon. Preregister here >>


Walker Friendly Events

Walkers are encouraged to participate in all Track Shack races. Municipalities require that road ways are clear of participants and opened as soon as the race is complete.


That is why a maximum pace of 15 minutes per mile is set. If the pace isn't maintained, race officials will ask you to move to the sidewalk to re-open the roadways.
