Orlando's favorite roadside attraction, Gatorland has announced that a brand new candy shop is now open at the tourist attraction.

Sweet Tooth’s Candy Shop is now open, offering viitors more than 60 varieties of specially crafted chocolates, confections and specialty candies, hand-scooped Hershey’s brand churned ice cream, chocolate dipped fruits, giant lollipops, and bottled drinks.

Gatorland has carefully selected family-run chocolate and candy businesses to partner with this iconic Florida attraction. These businesses share the same family values as Gatorland’s owners, the Godwin family, Including Virginia-based Nancy’s Candy Company, in business since 1987, Atlanta’s Macaron Queen owned by mother-daughter team Finia Jahangard and Nina Chteoui, and featured on CNBC’s The Profit, and Minnesota-based Abdallah Candies, operating since 1909, and now run by the fourth generation of a long lineage of candy makers.

The incredible delicious and popular Hershey’s Ice Cream served inside Sweet Tooth’s has been made by Hershey since 1894 and is one of the few companies left that serves real ice cream, as opposed to frozen dairy desserts.

Designed by Anthony Lepore Architect and built by Bison Construction of Orlando, the 1,700-square-foot Sweet Tooth’s Candy Shop at Gatorland takes a step back in time as it replicates a country storefront with nostalgic displays that bring back warm memories of childhood trips to farmland candy stores.

This shop has been three years in planning and development as we traveled back through our 75-year history to recreate those special memories of family vacations through the country,” explained Mark McHugh, Gatorland’s President and CEO.  “I’m especially excited to see children with wide eyes as they explore our delicious selection of chocolates, candies, and ice cream.  Bubba and Skunk Ape have already chosen Caramel Twist Ice Cream, Strawberry Shortcake Macaron Cookies, and Cookies and Cream Truffles as their personal favorites.”
