The original American-style sushi experience, founded on Sushi Amplified and Rock n’ Roll is opening an Orlando area location soon.
Back in April last year we first brought you the news that Rock N Roll Sushi was expanding into Florida, with multiple franchised location planned throughout the state including Orlando.
Now Orlando is finally set to take center stage as Rock N’ Roll Sushi prepares to open the areas first location.
Combining his love of food – especially Rock N’ Roll Sushi – and his love of operating a business, Orlando businessman Darrell Lewis felt it was time to diversify his business portfolio by opening a franchise location of the beloved, American-style sushi restaurant. He anticipates opening the Orlando location by November.
Lewis started working in the restaurant industry as a teenager and always enjoyed serving freshly made food and meeting new people. As he got older, he found himself drawn to the construction industry where he spent five years working laborious days in the hot Florida sun. In 2017, he decided to use his knowledge of the construction business to pursue his own roofing company. Now, just seven years later, Lewis has eight locations and more than 40 employees.
“I’ve been a big sushi fan for as long as I can remember,” said Lewis. “Not only does Rock N’ Roll Sushi have my favorite twist on classic sushi dishes, but we’re able to make these recipes with the best seafood. Being able to own one of these franchises here in my hometown makes me really proud and excited.”
The rock ‘n’ roll-themed sushi concept, where guests can order items like “VIP Roll” and “The Punk Rock Roll” currently has 12 locations in Florida and 72 brandwide.
Founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife duo Lance and Gerri Mach Hallmark in Mobile, Alabama, Rock N’ Roll Sushi is the original American-style sushi restaurant founded on great food, true love and rock ‘n’ roll music.
It’s the only theme-restaurant in the world where local and loyal fans can experience the rock they love and the rolls they love with the ones they love. The menu is broken down by Opening Acts, Classics, Green Room, Headliners (with Raw Tracks), Back Stage Hibachi, Kids Rock and After Party, with Rock N’ Roll Sushi’s greatest hits – like Crispy Wontons, Punk Rock Roll, VIP Roll and Hibachi – stealing the show.
From humble beginnings in a modest 1000-square-foot space tucked inside the Mobile Mall, Rock N’ Roll Sushi has rapidly expanded to encompass more than 70 locations across the Southeastern U.S. in just a decade.
