The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art continues its free summer family programs that explore the depth and breadth of the collection.

This year’s programs focus on beautiful gardens and travel advances during the reign of Queen Victoria (r.1837–1901).

The Museum’s summer offerings for families—designed for children in kindergarten through

fifth grade and their parents or guardians—include a gallery tour with a take-home art activity on

Tuesdays and a film, tour, and onsite art activity on Fridays.

Space in these free family programs is limited, and reservations are required

Details are as follows:

Tuesday Family Tours

Take a 40-minute gallery tour on four Tuesdays:

June 18, 25, and July 9, 16. Includes a take-home art activity. The tour

begins at 10 a.m.

Friday Family Films

Enjoy a short film, gallery tour, and onsite art

activity in this 90-minute program on four Fridays: June 21, 28, and July

12, 19. The program begins at 10 a.m.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A $5 refundable deposit per

person is required when securing a reservation for either program. Call (407) 645-5311,

extension 136, to make a reservation or request more information.

Summer hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday. Regular admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $1 for students, and children

younger than 12 receive free admission and are always welcome with their parents or

guardians.
